📖 Synopsis

The setting is 1980s Japan. University student Minato Jinba receives news that his grandmother is critically ill, and visits his mother’s deep-mountain hometown, “Ichinose Village," for the first time in over a decade. However, what awaits him in the mansion he arrives at is a lurking, otherworldly “monster" and the horrifying truths hidden within the family……

“Trapped in a cocoon, the silkworm dreams its final dream." — What kind of bittersweet yet beautiful truth awaits at the end of enduring screams and terror?

💬 What Was Great! Recommended Points 💜

The damp, oppressive air of Japan, the eerie darkness, and the terror creeping in from the silence are simply out of this world…!
Instead of just relying on cheap jumpscares, it perfectly fuses the “beauty and sorrow" unique to Japanese horror, drawing you completely into its world.

The attention to detail in appliances and toys like the television, refrigerator, and furniture is astonishingly realistic!
It fills you with a deep sense of nostalgia: “Ah, my grandparents’ house felt just like this~!"
Plus, the in-game TV commercials hide clever foreshadowing that makes you go “Whoa!" when playing through the second run onwards✨

You can actually play nostalgic “10-yen arcade games" just like the ones at old candy stores in the game… and they are so absurdly fun that I completely forgot about the main story and played for ages (lol).
Unlocking the “Infinite 10-Yen" from the post-clear bonus content is where the true battle with the 10-yen game begins🔥

Even for someone like me who is genuinely terrible at horror, the “Easy Mode" gave me plenty of recovery items so I could make it all the way to the end!
Of course, there are plenty of satisfying difficulty options tailored for hardcore horror fans and those who want a real chase challenge♪

🔍 A Little Thing That Bothered Me

The overall volume is quite compact, leaving a slight bittersweet feeling of wanting to explore this deep-mountain mansion and village world even longer after beating it…!
However, considering the indie price tag and the meticulous quality packed into every corner, it’s more than satisfying!

👑 Conclusion (Overall Review)

If I had to put it in one word: “An absolute masterpiece that transcends indie horror!"

Aside from the stellar execution of horror elements, getting total goosebumps as all the scattered puzzle pieces clicked together neatly toward the end was incredible. It’s packed tight with “fear," “sorrow," “emotion," and occasionally… “10-yen games (lol)."

Because you can breeze through it while feeling deeply fulfilled, it’s the ultimate recommendation even for horror game beginners! A top-tier masterpiece where you can thoroughly enjoy post-game elements like all-ending collection (2nd playthrough)✨
