🎮 [Hollow Cocoon #04] Discovered in the 2nd Playthrough! Is Minato an Occult Fanatic? The Surprising Common Ground Between UFOs and the Cocoon Princess Legend (All Endings Cleared)【Riri Ititama / VTuber】
Today, I’m bringing you Part 4 of my retro horror playthrough of “UTSUROMAYU"! And guess what—I’ve finally completed and cleared all the endings!
Going in for a second playthrough meant smooth sailing… or so I thought, but a bunch of shocking truths that I totally missed in my first run came to light! I couldn’t hide my astonishment at the “alternate truth" hidden beneath this eerie story (lol).

🌟Synopsis
Told by his father, Minato arrives at Grandma Kinu’s house. However, the atmosphere of the mansion feels slightly different… Why are there mysterious “UFO posters" pasted around?
And why does Minato’s reaction to them look so intensely strange—?
Can Minato truly reach the “true secret" hidden within this house?
👽A Shocking Revelation! Was Minato an Occult Fanatic All Along?!
The biggest shock of the second playthrough was the totally unexpected side of our protagonist, Minato.
When looking at the newly added UFO posters, Minato completely loses his usual calmness, and his hype goes through the roof!
“What a magnificent poster… I believe in it."
Seeing him mutter lines like that made me realize, “Ah, this kid is a hardcore occult fanatic, lol."
Even during the UFO Ending, he was super pumped when he found a crop circle! I had no idea he was such an intensely quirky character…
🛸Did Ayano-obachan Cross Paths with Aliens…?
As I took my time reading through the UFO articles and posters, I realized there are so many striking commonalities with the “Cocoon Princess Legend," which is the core of this game.
From UFOs casually hanging around Grandma Kinu’s house, to Minato getting abducted by a UFO in the “UFO Ending"…
My personal theory is that during that one-month period when Ayano-obachan went missing, she might have merged or mingled with aliens. If the Cocoon Princess from the legend was actually an alien herself… Then that bizarre, grotesque form makes total sense!
✨ The Shock of the Secret Endings: The “Utsuro Ending" & “UFO Ending"
One of the secret endings I unlocked this time was the “Utsuro Ending."
Ayano-obachan returns to her original, beautiful human form, but… Because the “Utsuro" broke the cycle of reincarnation, her original soul vanished, leaving behind a state where only the alien entity remains inside. Looking at it that way, it’s kind of the ultimate bad ending, leaving me with a complicated feeling.
Still, at the very end, young Ayano-obachan was super gorgeous and adorable, so I was personally totally satisfied! (Lol)
And in the laughably surreal “UFO Ending," Minato got happily abducted by a UFO while geeking out, which had me rolling in laughter🛸✨
🏃♀️ Smooth 2nd-Run Chases & Infinite 10-yen Games
The chases with Ayano-obachan that were so terrifying during the first playthrough? Since I already knew her identity and had faced her once before, dodging her was a breeze this time!
And speaking of second-run comfort, it has to be the “Infinite 10-yen Game."
Clutching my infinite 10-yen coins, I played the arcade machine behind the chicken coop to my heart’s content! I totally lost track of time and had an absolute blast♪
🎙️ Riri’s Summary Impressions 💜
And with all endings collected, my “Utsuromayu" streams are now officially complete!
It wasn’t just scary; it was a deeply profound masterpiece packed with sci-fi lore. I never in a million years imagined that Japanese horror would connect to an alien conspiracy!
The more lore documents I read, the more the folklore connected to UFOs, making it so much fun to experience the game from a completely different perspective than the first run.
Story-wise and mystery-wise, this is truly the end. Ayano-obachan, please rest in peace now…
