🌟 Synopsis
“There’s a paradise beyond the tower" — hearing this rumor, four young adventurers become the protagonists of this story.
Their journey begins as they descend into the first world, known as the “Continent World." Arriving at the first town in search of clues to enter the tower, they find a hero’s statue in the center of the town. It seems this statue once had three pieces of equipment: armor, a sword, and a shield.
Legend has it that with these, one could freely enter and exit the tower.
And so, their adventure begins—to retrieve the lost equipment by visiting three castles to open the tower’s gate!
Players can freely choose their characters’ species, but our party this time started with a balanced lineup of…
Human (Female) – Human (Male) – Esper Girl – Monster
This isn’t a beginner-friendly composition, but it’s a fun team that lets you try out various elements!
By the way, for beginners, I recommend:
- 3 Humans + 1 Esper (Stable with many items – costs money, but not too difficult in the later stages)
- 2 Humans + 2 Espers (Damage-focused – abilities increase and skills are usable, so it doesn’t cost as much money)
The three castles are independent, and there’s no set order for tackling them, but starting with the “Castle of Armor" is recommended.
The reason is that enemies in the “Castle of Sword" are tougher in the later stages, making it harder.
It’s a classic route to solidify your defenses before focusing on offense!
🛡️ Castle of Armor
Relatively easy to conquer and perfect for an introduction.
You only get one piece of armor, so equip it carefully.
Buying weapons/armor and collecting stat-boosting items is crucial!
⚔️Castle of Sword
The boss, “Sword King," is tough, but defeating him gets you the “King’s Sword!"
This weapon can take down weak enemies in one hit, making later adventures incredibly easy! However, be careful not to make the game too easy (a “nul-game")⚠️!
If you want to enjoy the tension, limiting its use is the best way to go ◎
🛡️Castle of Shield
Watch your positioning, as bumping into soldiers triggers forced battles.
By this point, the difficulty shouldn’t be too high.
🗿Heroic Statue and Equipment Offering
Once all the equipment is gathered, offering them to the hero’s statue in the center of town advances the story.
But be warned—the equipment you offer will be lost, so if you don’t prepare separate equipment, you’ll be in serious trouble! (Lol)
🐢First Battle with Ashura’s Four Heavenly Kings – Genbu!
Immediately after offering the equipment, one of the tower’s guardians, Ashura’s Four Heavenly Kings – Genbu, appears.
The Four Sacred Beasts motif was super cool back then, and many people were apparently surprised by it! Defeating him grants you the “Black Crystal," which is the key to opening the tower’s gate.
Finally, you can now proceed inside the tower…!
💬Riri’s Thoughts
The “Continent World" felt like a tutorial, but the way it guides you to collect equipment and its strategic depth were really well-made, I thought! However, there was just one thing that bothered me…
The problem of pathetic money rewards compared to enemy strength! 💸 Even if you defeat strong enemies, you only get pitiful amounts of money, making managing weapons and recovery items incredibly tough! Especially since weapons are limited-use, that’s rough~! 💦
Still, once you can buy magic books, it feels like a whole new world opens up, so until then, endure and train!
😂And My Biggest Comedic Jab
Just let me say this one last thing!
What in the world does it mean that a Slime Human is “the most beautiful girl in the village"?!?!?!
Seriously, even if they reused graphics, isn’t that a bit too impactful?! (Lol)
Players back then definitely did a double-take, didn’t they?!
